Tool & Bike Racks for Garage Storage

Nothing devours storage space in a garage faster than garden tools and bikes. Fortunately there are great sources for hooks and hangers available that can make this storage problem disappear. From plastic to metal, from the simple to the complex, there is any racks and hooks for a single tool up to a system that will hold everything.

If you are hanging a rack to get your shovels and racks organized, one tip would be to hang the storage rack as close to the ceiling as possible. This will free up the space below the tool rack for other items, including, possible, a low storage cabinet.

If you are hanging a bicycle out of the way it is import to determine if it is for short term storage or if it is going to be unused for a longer period of time. Double ceiling hooks (where it looks like the bike is riding across the ceiling of your garage) is good for long term storage since it can be a bit of a wrestling match to get them up or down. There are now bike racks where you can lower the bike when needed. They cost a bit more but if you’re going to be using the bike regularly it may be worth it.
