Climate controlled storage used to be the private domain of the moving companies. They would charge an arm and a leg for moving your stuff around, and then get the other limbs in their daily rates. Plus their storage facilities where located in parts of town you wouldn’t walk around in after dark without a police escort. Now we have climate controlled SELF storage centers in every major metropolitan center.

By providing air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter, these all climate self storage centers can safely handle antiques, fine furniture and even art. They are a usually much more expensive then conventional self storage centers, but not always. A few phone calls or a visit to the internet will get you your answer.

Located in retail centers, climate controlled self storage centers tend to be more secure than traditional self storage centers; they have limited access points instead of a mile of vulnerable chain link fence.

Any of these centers also offer a high security storage area within the storage center. These units go for a premium, but if you are storing high value item, it may be worth it.
